Biloela - Rubyvale Qld

Guess what everyone? Yep that's right, we finally left Bilo. Enjoying every minute of it so far, as you would expect. Just got to figure out how to spend the rest of the month covering only 1222km.

Haven't found any sapphires to write home about, but we have had a go. Went on a mine tour at Miners Heritage www.minersheritage.com.au which was informative and made us glad we weren't miners back in the day with only tummy tunnels to crawl around in.

Must say the camping grounds at 2 Miles Beach House is excellent.

    Nice to see you are settling into the grey nomad life nice and easy!! Nice fish Carl, our secret to eating fresh water fish is to sok the fillet in a handful of salt in a bowl of water for a few hours then you will see the cloudy white fat appear on the fillet peel the fat off, rinse in fresh water and crumb, shallow fry in a pan, this gets a lot of the muddy taste out of the fish.

    Nice one Carl, that tour guide is probably still trying to sort you out.

    The kids look like they are enjoying the trip.
